Saint Joan Of Arc

What Are The Miracles Preformed By Saint Joan Of Arc?

Today I want to tell you about Joan of Arc. She lived 500 years ago in France. Joan was just an ordinary teenager. But then something amazing happened when she started hearing voices from God telling her to battle for the king.

I know it sounds crazy, but it’s true. Joan went from being a normal farm girl to leading armies and performing awesome miracles. Keep reading to learn more about this brave woman and her wild adventures.

Joan Hears Voices

When Joan was 13, she heard voices of saints talking to her. At first, she was scared and didn’t tell anyone. But the voices kept speaking to Joan for years.

Finally, Joan realized the voices were real. They were from two saints, Michael and Catherine. The saints told Joan she needed to help the true French king, Charles.

Back then, France was at war with England. Some French people wanted a fake king who worked for England. But Joan’s ‘voices’ told her she had to ensure Charles was king instead.

This was a big task for a young girl, but Joan trusted the voices were from God. She cut her hair short, dressed like a boy, and went to find Charles.

Proving Her Voices Were Real

Joan meets King Charles

When Joan met Charles, he wasn’t sure to believe her. But Joan did miracles to show her ‘voices’ really did come from God.

For example, she picked Charles out of a crowd, even though they’d never met. Joan said her ‘voices’ guided her right to the future king.

Joan also amazed Charles by saying a secret prayer only he knew. These miracles convinced Charles that Joan’s mission was legit.

Winning Impossible Battles

Charles let Joan lead soldiers to fight for him. With God’s help, she started winning all the battles.

Some of the cool miracles Joan of Arc did were:

  • Finding a legendary sword buried in a church, just like the voices said. This made the soldiers trust her.
  • Not getting too hurt in fights. She always recovered fast.
  • Forcing the English away from Orleans very very quickly when French troops had struggled for months. Joan was awesome!
  • Knowing the wind would change direction during a battle. When it did, the French ships could come while the English were trapped.
  • Surviving being shot by arrows and hit by swords. It was like Joan had superpowers.

So you see, Joan used miracles from God to win the war. Finally, Charles became king, just like she was told to make happen.

Joan’s Sad Ending but Lasting Legacy

Even though she won the battles, sadly Joan was later killed by enemies. She was burned at the stake when only 19 years old.

It was so unfair because Joan had a good heart and loved God. But she stayed brave and faithful even when dying.

Here’s one more miracle – when the fire went out, Joan’s heart was still there. It didn’t burn up.

Today Joan is remembered as a hero and saint. She shows that with God’s help, anyone can do great things. Joan inspires me to always keep believing in miracles.
